Ambassador Morgenthau’s Story by Henry Morgenthau
Henry Morgenthau (1856-1946) was United States ambassador to the Ottoman Empire between 1913 and 1916. He witnessed the Ottoman entry into World War I and the genocide of the Empire’s Armenian, Aramaean/Assyrian and Greek population. “Ambassador Morgenthau’s Story” was published in 1918 and deals largely with the plight of Armenians in the Empire.
